After failing to settle in at Milan, Yoann Gourcuff was loaned to Girondins Bordeaux and the player has flourished since his arrival last summer.
Reports indicate that there is a clause in his contract that will allow Bordeaux to permanently sign the player for approximately €15 million and Laurent Blanc is hopeful of keeping his star player at the Stade Chaban Delmas.
"To date, there is more of a chance that Gourcuff will remain at Bordeaux and less likely he will return to Milan," the French boss suggested in an interview with Equipe.
"Not everyone was convinced he could become a major player in Ligue 1, but he exploded and we are able to keep him."
