Real Madrid President Ramon Calderon has admitted that the Merengues cannot buy Milan’s Brazilian star Kaka.

Los Blancos had repeatedly insisted that the international was their main target, although the Rossoneri slammed all suggestions that the 25-year-old could leave the San Siro.

Vice-President Adriano Galliani had stated on Thursday that he wanted all their fans to know that the club would never sell Kaka, a promise also made by President Silvio Berlusconi.

“Kaka? I think a move is very unlikely,” Calderon admitted when talking to Euronews, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

“At this time there is no chance of seeing him here. Milan have said that they do not intend to sell him, therefore we cannot buy him,” added the Spanish chief.

“In any case, if Kaka ever lets us know that he wants to leave, we will be happy to make an offer. H... Read more »

AC Milan's Brazilian playmaker Kaka will not be sold to Real Madrid, the European champions said again on Tuesday. Transfer speculation in Spain and Italy has linked Kaka with a move to Real despite repeated declarations by Milan that the player is not for sale.

Earlier this month Milan said Kaka's father had held a meeting with Real Madrid.

"I've asked (Real's sporting director) Pedrag Mijatovic to drop this business about Kaka. I've told him enough is enough - in a polite way of course," vice-president Adriano Galliani was quoted as saying on Milan's website (www.acmilan.com).

"Kaka will absolutely be staying in Milan. He has a contract and I believe he is happy to be in Milan. "Certainly, these things are disturbing, but it's proof that we have got the best player in the world."

Kaka has developed into one of Milan's key players s... Read more »

Pictures of Kaka around Venezuela

Giant pictures of soccer players Mexico's Ramon Morales, left, Argentina's Lionel Messi, second from left, Brazil's Kaka, second from right, and Venezuela's Juan Arango are seen outside the Pachencho Romero stadium promoting the Copa America in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Sunday, June 24, 2007.

Kaka has been omitted out of Brazil's squad list, after requesting for a rest period.

Venezuela is hosting the June 26-July 15 tournament, which includes the United States and Mexico as guests, for the first time in the competition's 91-year history.

Fabio Capello believes that Real Madrid have simply no chance of snatching Kaka away form AC Milan. He also spoke, once again, about his pride over the La Liga triumph.

On winning the title this season he said: "It was important that we showed we could win.

"When I came here, it was a very difficult moment for Real Madrid, as it had been three years without winning.

"The public has credited our work, and celebrated with us in Cibeles. I am very proud because the team understood that they needed to take the pitch ready to die.

"We encountered some different moments, but we came through them.

"Yes, there was also criticism, but all is well that ends well."

Don Fabio has also insisted that Real Madrid's chase for Kaka is in vain.

"Is is an impossible dream if you know Silvio Berlusconi," he told AS during an interview.

"He wants Milan to be the best team in the world, and is counting on Kaka to help achieve that.

AC Milan management are backing Yoann Gourcuff for next season.

The French youngster is regarded as Andrea Pirlo's understudy and it's emerged that Milan directors, after meeting last week, chose to place in their faith in the midfield schemer ahead of moving for Barcelona's Edmilson.
