The Brazilian maestro expressed his admiration for the young French midfielder who did not have the opportunity to prove himself with the Rossoneri. New Real Madrid forward Kaka has stated that Bordeaux midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is destined to achieve great things in the future.
Both players were at AC Milan for two seasons between 2006 and 2008, with the Brazilian player remaining impressed with the skills shown by his younger team-mate.
However, his lack of first team opportunities forced Gourcuff to move to France to play for Bordeaux the following season.
"Gourcuff is a player with great talent," declared Kaka to L'Equipe.
"He's fantastic, if he continues like this, at the end of his career he will be remembered in football history, I'm sure of this.
During his two seasons with the Rossoneri, the 22-year-old player played a total of 36 Serie A matches, contributing two goals for his side.
