AC Milan management are backing Yoann Gourcuff for next season.
The French youngster is regarded as Andrea Pirlo's understudy and it's emerged that Milan directors, after meeting last week, chose to place in their faith in the midfield schemer ahead of moving for Barcelona's Edmilson.
