According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan's vice president Adriano Galliani had a meeting with Roman Abramovich on the Russian's yacht in Portofino last week. The Chelsea owner made a personal last-ditch attempt to persuade the chief to let Kaka join the Blues.

The Italian sports bible reports today that, while the Ronaldinho situation was still at a standstill last week, Galliani spent about two hours on the Pelorus, the Russian billionaire's luxury yacht.

Abramovich was not willing to give up on his dream of signing the 2007 FIFA World Player of the year and wanted clear-the-air talks with the Rossoneri's transfer guru.

The mega-offer to prise Kaka away from the San Siro was once again in the region of €100m, but Galliani confirmed that their star player is not for sale at any price.

Last week Galliani had already stated that the rumours circulating about a Chelsea's swoop fo... Read more »

According to the latest reports in Italy, AC Milan will sign Emmanuel Adebayor for €30m plus France Under-21 international Yoann Gourcuff.

The proposed move of Adebayor to Milan has become one of the main transfer sagas of the summer. Yesterday the Rossoneri claimed to have received a letter from Arsenal saying that the Gunners were now prepared to discuss a deal for the Togo striker.

This was later followed by a statement from the Arsenal chairman, Peter Hill-Wood, insisting that the Londoners were hoping to keep Adebayor.

Despite Hill-Wood’s assertions, the Italian press strongly believes that the 24-year-old will indeed be joining Milan, and the latest claims are that the clubs have come to an agreement over a transfer fee.

The Rossoneri will pay €30m in cash, and will also throw in €8m rated France Under-21 international Yoann Gourcuff as part of the deal.

Gourcuff joined Milan in 2006, and was regarded as one ... Read more »

AC Milan reiterated their refusal to let Kaká take part in the Olympics with an official note on their website.

With a note on their official website, AC Milan wanted to silence the rumours going around in Brazil concerning Kaká's possible participation to the Beijing Olympics with the Brazilian national team.

"Following the news stories which appeared in Brazil today concerning Kaká's possible participation to the Beijing Olympics," it says on the note, "A.C. Milan reiterate the position already expressed earlier, not allowing the player to join the Brazilian Olympic team."

Kaká's Milan team mate Pato probably will be a part of the Brazilian squad, and there were even rumours that Andrea Pirlo and Filippo Inzaghi would join the Italian squad in Beijing.

[color=red]Milan magician Kaka admits that he only knew about Chelsea’s interest in him by reading it on the internet and he reveals he is not keen in moving to London.

The West London club were interested in making a bid for the Brazilian and they had approached Milan.

However, Adriano Galliani was quick to pour water over the fire and he told Chelsea that Kaka was not for sale.

The World player of the year has now given his view on the affair and he doesnt seem keen on Chelsea's interest.

“Of course I knew about Chelsea’s offer, I found out when I was surfing the net,” Kaka told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“As for our transfer campaign, I am sure things will get underway soon.”

“You never know what can happen in future, I may have enough of Milan one day and they might have enough of me but for the moment I am happy here and I love Italy.

“I think the club needs to renew. I have told the directors and we need to find th... Read more »
